This resource is intended to assist writers in identifying which journals are currently accepting submissions and what their specific criteria are, helping to streamline the submission process for authors.

market_name: The name of the literary magazine or journal (string). status: Indicates whether the magazine is currently accepting submissions. genres: A list detailing the types or genres of writing accepted, such as fiction or non-fiction. lengths: Specifies the required or preferred lengths of submissions, frequently detailing acceptance of forms like 'Poetry'. response_time: The typical duration the magazine takes to respond to a submission.

The information covers the status and criteria for 11,721 unique literary journals, stored in the lit_mag_data.csv file, which is approximately 1.02 MB. The data structure consists of 5 columns. Most journals listed (44%) are marked as 'Permanently Closed', while 23% are recorded as 'Open'. A notable feature is the high volume of missing response time information, recorded as 'No Data' for 76% of the entries.
