About
Detailed information is available on champion statistics within the All Random All Mid (ARAM) game mode. This dataset provides key performance indicators (KPIs) for champions, allowing for analysis of current meta trends, champion balance, and player performance across different server regions and skill tiers. The underlying data is sourced from the "ARAM Champion Status" section on op.gg.
Columns
The dataset includes eight distinct fields, tracking champion identity and performance metrics:
- Champion: The name of the specific character tracked (165 unique values).
- Games played: The total count of games recorded for that champion (with a mean volume around 239k).
- KDA: The Kill-death-assist ratio achieved.
- Win Rate: The percentage of matches won (ranging from 0.40 to 0.54, with a mean of 0.5).
- Pick Rate: The frequency, expressed as a percentage, with which the champion is selected (mean of 0.06).
- Ban Rate: The percentage of times the champion is restricted from play (currently zero).
- CS: The average number of minions killed per game (Creep Score), with values spanning from 6.4 to 91.
- Gold: The average total amount of gold accumulated per match (mean volume around 14.2k).
Distribution
The information is generally provided in a file format such as CSV (an example file is ARAM_EUW_September_Status.csv). The structure contains data for 165 unique records, one for each champion. The size of the sample data provided is approximately 8.23 kB. Updates to the statistics are expected to occur monthly.
Usage
The data is ideally suited for various analytical applications, including Exploratory Data Analysis (EDA) and general Data Analytics. Specific use cases involve tracking the evolution of the ARAM meta, identifying overpowered or underperforming champions for potential balance changes, and assessing the impact of patches on champion viability.
Coverage
The statistics cover the ARAM game mode and begin tracking performance from September 1st, 2023. Geographic coverage extends across multiple key server regions: Korea, Taiwan, North America, Europe West, and Japan. The data also includes two 'Global' views. For all specified regions, performance metrics are tracked across a wide Rank Range, from Iron rank up to Master rank, with one global view specifically isolating Diamond rank to Master rank performance.
