Columns

  • Country Name: Specifies the name of the country where the pollution data was recorded. This column contains data for 118 unique countries.

  • Year: Indicates the year the air pollution data was collected, ranging from 2000 to 2021.
  • PM2.5 (μg/m3): Represents the Particulate Matter 2.5 pollution level, measured in micrograms per cubic metre. This column has a range from 0.01 to 192 and has approximately 47% valid entries.
  • PM10 (μg/m3): Shows the Particulate Matter 10 level, also in micrograms per cubic metre. Values in this column range from 1.04 to 540, with about 66% valid data.
  • NO2 (μg/m3): Details the Nitrogen Dioxide level, expressed in micrograms per cubic metre. The values span from 0 to 211, and approximately 69% of the data is valid.
  • PM2.5 temporal coverage (%): Indicates the percentage of temporal coverage for PM2.5 pollution data. This column has a mean of 90.8% and around 23% valid entries.
  • PM10 temporal coverage (%): Indicates the percentage of temporal coverage for PM10 pollution data. The mean for this column is 90.6%, with about 17% valid entries.
  • NO2 temporal coverage (%): Indicates the percentage of temporal coverage for Nitrogen Dioxide data. This column has a mean of 93.7% and approximately 62% valid entries.
  • Updated Year: Specifies the year in which the data records were updated, with a range from 2016 to 2022.

Distribution

The dataset is provided as a CSV file, named "Air Pollution.csv", with a file size of 1.69 MB. It is structured in a tabular format, containing over 32,000 records for core geographical and temporal attributes. However, specific pollution measurement columns like PM2.5, PM10, and NO2, along with their temporal coverage percentages, have varying amounts of missing data.
