The dataset currently contains over 1,500 distinct codes and is regularly maintained.
Columns
- plu: The Numeric Price Look Up Code, serving as the primary key for the entry.
- type: Classification indicating the geographical usage area (e.g., Global, EMEA, LA).
- category: A low-cardinality string field categorising the item (e.g., "fruits" or "vegetables").
- commodity: A higher-cardinality string that specifies the item more clearly than the category (e.g., "apples" or "oranges").
- variety: A detailed string categorical description, specifying the particular type of commodity (e.g., "Alkmene").
- size: Describes which sizes the product is available in, typically a low-cardinality field (e.g., "small" or "All Sizes").
- measurements_north_america: Provides details regarding the size/count within a standard box, most commonly used in North America. Note that a large percentage of entries are unavailable (NA).
- measurements_rest_of_world: Provides information on the average weight or diameter for items outside of North America. Note that a large percentage of entries are unavailable (NA).
- restrictions: Specifies any limitations on the geographical usage of the code itself.
- botanical: The scientific botanical name for the produce item.
- aka: Lists names the produce item is 'also known as'.
- status: Indicates whether the code has been approved (contains one unique value: Approved).
- updated_at: Timestamp detailing when the information in the record was most recently revised.
- created_at: Timestamp detailing when the Price Look Up Code was initially added to the database.

The data is available in CSV format, specifically the file
price_lookup_codes.csv. The file size is approximately 206.19 kB. The structure consists of 14 distinct columns and currently contains 1,545 individual records.Usage
