Columns
- year: The year in which the quarter-finals were played, representing the season (e.g., 1981 for the 1980-1981 season). Data ranges from 1981 to 2021.
- code: The abbreviation code for each participating team.
- name: The full name of the participant team.
- round: The final round achieved by the team in that specific season, categorised as Quarterfinals (QF), Semifinals (SF), Runners-up (RU), or Winner (W). Quarterfinals are the most common outcome.
- league: The country of origin or the specific league the team belongs to. Spain and England are frequently represented.
- region: Classification of the team's league region, including 'Big 5' (England, Spain, Italy, France, Germany), 'Small' (smaller leagues), and 'East' (Eastern team leagues pre-1990). 'Big 5' is the predominant region.
- decade: The decade corresponding to the year the quarter-finals occurred, such as 1980s, 1990s, 2000s, and 2010s. The 2010s account for a significant portion of the data.
- superliga: A boolean indicator checking whether the team supported or opposed the proposed Superleague plan.
- city: The name of the city where the quarter-final matches took place.
- areacode: The Eurostat or OECD area code for the corresponding city.
