Columns
- YEAR: The year in which the tournament commenced. Data ranges from 1950 to 2023.
- TOURNAMENT: Specifies the type of Grand Slam tournament (Wimbledon, U.S. Open, French Open, Australian Open).
- WINNER: The name of the tournament winner.
- RUNNER-UP: The name of the player who was runner-up.
- WINNER_NATIONALITY: The nationality of the winning player.
- WINNER_ATP_RANKING: The ATP ranking of the winner (data available from 2007 onwards).
- RUNNER-UP_ATP_RANKING: The ATP ranking of the runner-up (data available from 2007 onwards).
- WINNER_LEFT_OR_RIGHT_HANDED: Indicates if the winner is right-handed or left-handed.
- TOURNAMENT_SURFACE: The playing surface of the tournament (e.g., Clay, Grass / Outdoor, Hard).
- WINNER_PRIZE: The winner's prize money for each tournament, noted in local denominations (e.g., USD for US Open, AUD for Australian Open, FRF/EUR for French Open, GBP for Wimbledon).
Distribution
The dataset is provided as a CSV file, named
Mens_Tennis_Grand_Slam_Winner.csv
, and is approximately 23.55 KB in size. It contains 292 records for most columns. However, ATP ranking data for both winners and runners-up is available for 63 and 64 records respectively, representing tournaments from 2007 onwards. Prize money details are available for 217 records.Usage
