The index, while named the S&P 500, actually contains 503 stocks, as it includes two classes of shares from three of its member companies. The data reflects recent changes, such as the removal of Signature Bank (SBNY) and SVB Financial Group (SIVB) and the addition of Bunge Limited (BG) and Insulet (PODD) on 15 March 2023.
