About

Detailed information concerning criminal cases presented to the San Francisco District Attorney’s Office (SFDA) dating back to 2011. This data includes records of cases where the SFDA decided to take action, either by filing new criminal charges or by filing a motion to revoke probation or parole (MTR). The resource provides valuable insight into case progression, charge filing decisions, and ultimate outcomes determined by the office. This data is expected to be updated on a weekly basis, ensuring currency.

Columns

The data file includes 11 distinct data points for each case record:

  • arrest_date: The calendar date when the arrest occurred.

  • data_as_of: A timestamp reflecting when the data was last updated in the source system.
  • data_loaded_at: A timestamp reflecting when the data was last updated in the data portal itself.
