๐ DATASET DOCUMENTATION FOR OPENDATABAY
Dataset Description
Multi-State Weather Intelligence Archive: NOAA Alert Dataset (December 5-10, 2025)
This dataset contains 2,795 verified weather alerts collected from NOAA's National Weather Service during a major multi-state winter storm event in December 2025. Each alert includes complete metadata with cryptographic verification making this data suitable for legal proceedings, insurance claims, and regulatory compliance.
Purpose: Provide historical weather intelligence for legal documentation, emergency management analysis, maritime safety research, and forecast accuracy studies.
Context: Captured during a significant weather event that produced a 58x spike in alert activity (from 20 to 1,165+ concurrent alerts), including winter storms, marine hazards, and flood warnings across multiple states.
Significance: This is a court-ready, cryptographically verified archive of a major weather event that is no longer available in NOAA's active alert feeds. The dataset demonstrates real-world multi-hazard monitoring during extreme weather conditions.
