About

This dataset offers an in-depth look into pharmaceutical drug spending across various nations. It presents key indicators such as pharmaceutical expenditure as a share of total health spending, in US dollars per capita (utilising economy-wide Purchasing Power Parities), and as a share of Gross Domestic Product (GDP). Moreover, it includes the total spending by each country for specific years, which has been calculated by combining per capita spending with population figures. The primary data source is the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), with supplementary population data from DataHub.
