Columns

  • Date: The date of the record, formatted as YYYY-MM-DD.
  • Timestamp: The corresponding Unix epoch timestamp for the date.
  • Daily Confirmed: The count of new confirmed COVID-19 cases reported on that specific day (Maximum value observed is approximately 414,000).
  • Total Number of cases: The cumulative count of all confirmed cases to date (Maximum value observed is approximately 30.2 million).
  • Daily Recovered: The number of individuals reported recovered on that specific day.
  • Total Recovered: The cumulative count of all recovered cases (Maximum value observed is approximately 29.2 million).
  • Daily Deceased: The number of deaths attributed to the virus on that specific day.
  • Total Deceased: The cumulative count of all deaths due to the virus (Maximum value observed is approximately 394,000).

Distribution

The data is delivered in a structured CSV file format, specifically covid_cases.csv, with a small file size of 29.5 kB. It contains 8 columns and 513 validated records. The data is currently updated weekly, with an option for daily updates available via the associated external GitHub repository.
