Description：
This dataset consists of high-resolution (1920×1080, RGB color space) images capturing vessels navigating across various sea surfaces. The key characteristic of these vessels is the absence of identifiable markings—such as national flags, registration numbers, or company logos—ensuring minimal visual bias for machine learning models.
It is particularly suited for generic maritime object detection tasks, such as modeling ship presence without reliance on specific logos, supporting port surveillance, and abnormal vessel behavior analysis. Applications include maritime monitoring systems, anomaly detection at ports, and foundational training for universal object recognition models in oceanic contexts.
All images are annotated with bounding boxes in VOC XML format. The dataset covers a wide range of vessel categories, including small fishing boats, medium-sized transport ships, and large cargo vessels—all deliberately selected to be devoid of logos or national identifiers.
Imagery was collected using a combination of shore-based surveillance cameras, UAV (drone) systems, and vessel-mounted cameras (exact configuration to be confirmed). Scenes span multiple marine environments, primarily under clear weather conditions, with objects captured at varying distances—near, medium, and far—to support detection under different resolutions.
This dataset helps eliminate overfitting caused by logo or flag dependencies in vessel detection, offering a more generalizable training source. It is ideal for enhancing robustness in maritime AI systems.
