Description:
This dataset provides a diverse collection of special-color license plate images, generated using high-fidelity synthetic simulation environments and designed to replicate fisheye camera capture conditions. It focuses on yellow, white, and black plates, with approximately 21,000 images in total (around 7,000 per plate color). Data covers multiple shooting angles such as front, side, and rear oblique views, while reproducing the realistic fisheye distortion characteristics that are essential for algorithm adaptation.
The dataset is intended for intelligent transportation systems, license plate recognition model training, and abnormal plate analysis. It enables robust detection and classification of plates in complex visual conditions, supporting applications such as vehicle identification, enforcement monitoring, and fisheye distortion correction in real-world deployments.
All images are captured at a resolution of 1200×824 and annotated with license plate bounding boxes, including classification labels for plate color (yellow, white, black). Annotations are provided in VOC XML format, containing both the bounding box coordinates and color category metadata. The balanced distribution ensures coverage across plate colors, lighting conditions, and viewing angles for optimal model generalization.
The synthetic generation process replicates diverse environmental conditions such as daylight, nighttime, overcast weather, and strong light interference. Vehicle captures include variations in distance, motion, and camera positioning, reflecting authentic on-road scenarios from a fisheye onboard perspective and ensuring generalization across different road and lighting environments.
