About
This dataset provides updated FIDE Chess Player Rankings, offering an analytical overview of international chess players. Chess, an abstract strategy board game played on a 64-square grid, emerged in Southern Europe in the 15th century and is now one of the world's most popular games. The International Chess Federation (FIDE), founded in Paris in 1924 and recognised by the International Olympic Committee, is the global governing body for international chess competition. This dataset encapsulates key details for individual players as ranked by FIDE.
