Ten years of daily weather observations from numerous locations across Bangladesh are included, covering the period from 2013 to 2022. This collection of data is designed for machine learning applications, specifically for developing predictive models. It can be used to create a classifier to predict the likelihood of rain on a given day and to build a regressor for forecasting rainfall amounts and average daily temperatures. The data contains various meteorological metrics recorded daily.
Columns
- Date: The date of the observation in DD-MM-YYYY format.
- MinTemp: The minimum temperature recorded during the day, measured in degrees Celsius.
- MaxTemp: The maximum temperature recorded during the day, measured in degrees Celsius.
- Rainfall: The amount of rainfall recorded for the day, measured in millimetres.
- Evaporation: The amount of evaporation during the day, measured in millimetres.
- Sunshine: The number of hours of bright sunshine during the day.
- WindGustDir: The direction of the strongest wind gust during the day, represented by 16 compass points.
- WindGustSpeed: The speed of the strongest wind gust, measured in kilometres per hour.
- WindDir9am: The wind direction in the 10 minutes leading up to 9 am, represented by compass points.
- WindDir3pm: The wind direction in the 10 minutes leading up to 3 pm, represented by compass points.
- WindSpeed9am: The wind speed in the 10 minutes leading up to 9 am, measured in kilometres per hour.
- WindSpeed3pm: The wind speed in the 10 minutes leading up to 3 pm, measured in kilometres per hour.
- Humidity9am: The humidity at 9 am, as a percentage.
- Humidity3pm: The humidity at 3 pm, as a percentage.
- Pressure9am: The atmospheric pressure at 9 am, measured in hectopascals.
- Pressure3pm: The atmospheric pressure at 3 pm, measured in hectopascals.
- Cloud9am: The portion of the sky obscured by clouds at 9 am, measured in eighths.
- Cloud3pm: The portion of the sky obscured by clouds at 3 pm, measured in eighths.
- Temp9am: The temperature at 9 am, measured in degrees Celsius.
- Temp3pm: The temperature at 3 pm, measured in degrees Celsius.
- RainToday: A binary variable indicating if it rained ('Yes') or not ('No').
Distribution
The data is provided in a single CSV file named
Weather_Data.csv with a size of 273.75 kB. It contains 3,271 records (rows) and 21 columns. The dataset is complete, with no missing values across all columns.Usage
