Columns
- id: A unique identifier used internally for data preprocessing and tracking.
- FECHA_ARCHIVO: The date when the record was last updated.
- ID_REGISTRO: The unique identifier for cases as used by the original official source.
- ENTIDAD_UM: The region where the hospital performed the patient admission.
- ENTIDAD_RES: The region of residence of the patient.
- RESULTADO: The outcome of the RT-PCR lab test for COVID-19, where 1 indicates a positive result and 2 indicates a negative result.
- DELAY: The lag in days between a case being reported and the laboratory result confirming a positive or negative COVID-19 diagnosis.
- ENTIDAD_REGISTRO: The actual region where the case was officially assigned.
- ENTIDAD: The full name of the region or state.
- ABR_ENT: A simplified or abbreviated name for the region or state.
- FECHA_ACTUALIZACION: The date of the last update to the database in YYYY-MM-DD format.
- ORIGEN: Indicates the type of sentinel surveillance unit (USMER) from which the data originated.
- SECTOR: Identifies the specific type of institution within the National Health System that provided care.
- SEXO: The gender of the patient, with 1 representing female and 2 representing male.
- ENTIDAD_NAC: The patient's region (state) of birth.
- MUNICIPIO_RES: The patient's city of birth.
- TIPO_PACIENTE: The type of care received by the patient, where 1 denotes an outpatient and 2 denotes an inpatient (hospitalised).
- FECHA_INGRESO: The date of the patient's admission to the care unit in YYYY-MM-DD format.
- FECHA_SINTOMAS: The date on which the patient's symptoms began in YYYY-MM-DD format.
- FECHA_DEF: The date the patient died.
- INTUBADO: Indicates if the patient required intubation.
- NEUMONIA: Indicates if the patient was diagnosed with pneumonia.
- EDAD: The age of the patient.
- NACIONALIDAD: Identifies if the patient is Mexican or a foreign national.
- EMBARAZO: Indicates if the patient is pregnant.
- HABLA_LENGUA_INDIG: Identifies if the patient speaks an indigenous language.
- DIABETES: Indicates if the patient is diabetic.
- EPOC: Identifies if the patient presents Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD).

- PAIS_NACIONALIDAD: Identifies the patient's nationality.
- PAIS_ORIGEN: Identifies the patient's country of origin or entry.
- UCI: Identifies if the patient was admitted to an Intensive Care Unit.
Distribution
The dataset is provided as a CSV file, named
mexico_covid19.csv, with a size of 48.06 MB. It contains 41 columns and approximately 263,000 individual records or rows. The data is updated on a weekly basis.Usage
