Columns

  • date: The specific date this track featured in a country's charts.
  • country: The country code indicating the nation for which this chart entry applies. There are 77 unique countries represented.
  • position: The track's rank within the country's chart. Positions range from 1 to 358.
  • streams: The cumulative number of streams the track had until the specified 'date'. This metric ranges from 0 to over 115 million.
  • track_id: The unique identifier assigned to the track by Spotify. There are 110,292 unique track IDs.
  • artists: A list of all artists credited for creating this track. There are nearly 50,000 unique artist combinations.
  • artist_genres: The genres associated with the artists featured on this track. This column has over 23,000 unique genre combinations.
  • duration: The total length of the track, expressed in milliseconds. Durations can be up to 9.32 million milliseconds.
  • explicit: A boolean indicator specifying whether or not the track contains explicit content, according to Spotify's classification. Approximately 26% of tracks are marked as explicit.
  • name: The title of the track. There are over 95,900 unique track names.

Distribution

The dataset is provided in a CSV (Comma Separated Values) format. The file size is 892.69 MB. It contains approximately 5.43 million records or rows.
